survey of music
Format MLA Description 1.Classicism music style This is a very large topic. I would prefer that you narrow it down to something more specific. 2.Antonio Salieri composer. This is good. Survey of Music STAGE 2 • Each topic should be related to the art of musical composition after 1750. • By this time, students should have written down at least three possible topics and corresponded with the professor about them. STAGE 2 ASSIGNMENT: Some helpful sources: Journals/Magazines:
Academic Level: –
Volume of 2 pages (550 words)
Assignment type : Research Paper
This is my three topic.
Brahms is a major composer and a lot has been written about him. If you did this, I would recommend you narrow it down to one part of his music, whatever type of music you are most interested in. Maybe the Lieder (art songs) of Brahms?
• The final writing assignment of the semester will be a “topic paper.” This means the student will come up with a subject they would like to explore. The paper will present supporting information from expert sources.
During the next week, students will begin to seek information to support each of the three topics. The idea is to narrow it down to one topic for your paper. The chosen topic often depends on how much supporting information can be found.
At the end of the week, the student will submit the following information:
1. The topic that was chosen, clearly stated.
2. The sources that you have found, so far, that will provide information to support your topic. (A minimum of four sources is required, with at least two of them being books.) Format your sources as we did in Writing Assignment A.
3. A couple of sentences for each source, briefly stating what that source contributes to your topic.
